Fayette Volleyball falls to Beaver in a 5
Lemont Furnace, PA – The Roaring Lions traveled to Monaca, PA to take on Penn State Beaver yesterday in another PSUAC match-up. The match was set to begin at 7 PM. Penn State Beaver defeated Penn State Fayette, 3-2. The Roaring Lions were victorious in the first two sets. The first two sets went 25-22 and 25-20, in favor of Penn State Fayette. Penn State Beaver responded in the next two, defeating the Roaring Lions, 25-19 and 25-22. The final set was taken by Penn State Beaver, 16-14.
Siteri Tale led the team in kills with 9 on the evening. Tale tallied 6 digs and 5 blocks as well. Morgan Pytlak had 7 kills and 5 digs for the Roaring Lions. Athlete of the week, Alex Muccioli, contributed as well with 4 digs. Machaela Hall assisted the Roaring Lions 14 times. The Roaring Lions are now (10-6) on the season and (4-3) in the PSUAC. Penn State Fayette will switch their focus to this weekend.
Penn State Fayette has competed in 6 PSUAC match-ups in a row. They are 3-3 in these last 6 games. The Roaring Lions will face 4 more PSUAC teams this weekend. On Saturday, Penn State Fayette will host Penn State Worthington Scranton in the Community Center Gym at 2:00 PM. After this game, they will play directly after against Penn State Wilkes Barre at 4:00 PM. On Sunday, the Roaring Lions will travel to Penn State New Kensington to play two more PSUAC games. The first game will begin at 2:00 PM versus Penn State Hazleton. The second game will be played directly after against Penn State Leigh Valley.
