Fayette volleyball downs Greater Allegheny

Lemont Furnace, PA – After going 4-0 last weekend against PSUAC competition, the Roaring Lions hosted another conference opponent, Penn State Greater Allegheny, at the Community Center Gym at 7:00 PM. The Roaring Lions were victorious in the first match-up, by defeating Penn State Greater Allegheny, 3-0, earlier this season. The Roaring Lions came out on top last night by shutting out Penn State Greater Allegheny yet again, 3-0.

The sets went 25-15, 25-16 and 25-4 in favor of Penn State Fayette. Siteri Tale had 14 kills, 2 digs and 2 blocks on the evening. Kyonte Martin recorded 5 kills, 1 assist and 9 digs. Chanel Porter and Morgan Pytlak both had 6 digs for the Roaring Lions. Pytlak added another 4 kills for Penn State Fayette. Machaela Hall assisted the Roaring Lions 22 times and had 11 digs. Khani Young had 4 kills and 2 blocks. Alex Muccioli and Hannah Lipniskis both had 4 digs and Kayla Barbabella tallied 2 digs. The Roaring Lions were dominate and all pitched in to get the victory in the end. Penn State Fayette is (6-0) at the Community Center Gym this season. The Roaring Lions are now in 3rd place in the conference with a record of (15-6) overall and (9-3) in the PSUAC.

Today, Penn State Fayette volleyball will travel to Cumberland, Maryland to play in a non-conference game against the Allegany College of Maryland. This match is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
