Fayette Volleyball extends win streak

Lemont Furnace, PA – The month of the October has been nothing but dominance for the Penn State Fayette volleyball team. The Roaring Lions have only lost 2 games in October. Penn State Fayette has won the last 9 games in a row. 8 of those 9 games have been played in the conference and have sent the Roaring Lions to the top of the standings. The only non-conference game that was played would be against Allegany College of Maryland. They were victorious in that match and won 3-0. On Friday, October 20th, Penn State Fayette would host Allegany College of Maryland in the Community Center Gym at 7:00 PM to keep the win streak alive.

Penn State Fayette shutout Allegany College of Maryland, 3-0. The sets went 25-3, 25-4 and 25-8 in favor of Penn State Fayette. Kayla Barbabella would have 5 digs on the night. Khani Young tallied 2 kills and 1 dig. Machaela Hall, the leader in assists, would have another big night of assists with 20. Hall would have 6 digs as well. Alex Muccioli would tally a kill for the Roaring Lions and have another big game of serving. Chanel Porter recorded 10 digs against Allegany College of Maryland. Kyonte Martin would have 1 kill, 1 assist and 4 digs. Morgan Pytlak contributed with 7 kills and 4 digs. Siteri Tale had 12 kills, 1 assist, 3 digs and 3 blocks and Hannah Lipniskis would tally 2 kills and 4 digs for the Roaring Lions. With this win, Penn State Fayette extends their win streak to 10 games in a row with only 1 game remaining in the regular season. The Roaring Lions would remain undefeated at home for the regular season as the last home game was capped off with a shutout victory against Allegany College of Maryland.

Coming up next, Penn State Fayette has one more game on the road before the PSUAC conference playoffs begin. The Roaring Lions will travel to Penn State Greater Allegheny for the final game of the season and the last PSUAC regular season match-up. The match is set to begin at 7:00 PM in the Wunderly Gym.
