Fayette falls in PSUAC Championship; Secures 10th seed in USCAA Tournament

Lemont Furnace, PA – After two big wins against Penn State Lehigh Valley and Penn State Mont Alto, Penn State Fayette moved on to the big stage. The #3 Roaring Lions would take on #1 Penn State Brandywine in the 2017 PSUAC Championship on Halloween night. The game was played in Rec Hall at State College, PA at 7:00 PM and the Roaring Lions were looking for another PSUAC title after winning last year, but would face the #1 team in the PSUAC.

Penn State Fayette would be defeated by Penn State Brandywine, 3-0. The sets went 26-24, 25-16 and 25-22. Machaela Hall would have 26 assists and 8 digs. Alex Muccioli tallied 6 digs and Chanel Porter recorded 9 digs on the night. Kyonte Martin had 1 kill and 3 digs. Khani Young finished the night with 2 kills, 1 dig and 1 block. Morgan Pytlak would tally 5 kills and 6 digs for the Roaring Lions. Kayla Barbabella had 13 digs. Siteri Tale would record 19 kills, 12 digs and 4 blocks on the night and Hannah Lipniskis had 1 kill and 3 digs. Penn State Fayette would finish the season with a record of 23-7. The Roaring Lions had an outstanding season and it is still not over yet.

The Penn State Fayette Volleyball team were selected as the #10 seed in the 2017 USCAA National Championship. The USCAA Volleyball Championship will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
