VB sweeps WVU Potomac

With one more match on its regular season schedule, the Penn State Fayette volleyball team is in post-season form.

Monday night, the Nittany Lions (22-3) made quick work of West Virginia University of Potomac in three sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-20).

"This game really showed how far we have come since the last time we faced WVU Potomac," head coach Sam Swetz said about a five-set nail biting win on September 11. "I am excited for this week."

Against Potomac, Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) recorded 12 kills, Machaela Hall (Fairchance, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) had 16 digs and Jadyn Barnish (Carmichaels, Carmichaels HS) had 14 assists.

Fayette closes out its regular season and Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference schedule, by hosting Penn State Beaver (17-8, 8-3) Tuesday.

In the first matchup of the season between the two teams, Fayette swept Beaver, 3-0.

Following the regular season finale Tuesday, Fayette, has a quick turnaround as it hosts Penn State Mont Alto (16-10, 6-6) in a PSUAC quarterfinal at 7 PM.

Fayette is the top seed from the PSUAC West division while Mont Alto is fourth.

Fayette swept both conference matchups during the regular season.
