Fayette wins in 5 set thriller against Beaver

Monaca,PA- Fayette battles against Beaver in 5 set thriller.
 
Fayette struggled to find their footing for two sets in a row, losing 25-22 and 25-21. Despite the slow start Fayette began to build in the third set, winning it 25-20. The fourth set was no different, with a Fayette win 25-23. The fifth set turned into a battle with rally scoring. When Fayette looked to gain a two point lead of 10-8, leading scorer for the team, Kamden Miller suffered an ankle injury. Fayette lit fire and had an exciting victory of 15-12 to finish the match.
 
Fayette had 5 hitters in double digits (Kamden Miller-11 kills, Madison Richards-11 kills, Adela Blough-11 kills, Pasepa Driscoll Buwawa-10 kills, and Abigail Bickerton-10 kills). Defensively, it was no surprise that Kamden Miller led the team with 27 digs, followed by Pasepa Driso Buwawa with 20 digs. Emma Eckert put up a strong assist statistic with 25 and Rylan Musgrove followed with a respectable 22.
 
Fayette is now 6-1 in the conference, with their only loss coming from the defending National Champions, that they will meet again later in the season.
Fayette will play Penn State New Kensington at home this Monday at 7:00 P.M.
