Fayette drops match to Carlow

Pittsburgh, PA- Penn State Fayette drops hard fought match to Carlow University. 

Fayette fought hard against USCAA Division I, Carlow tonight on the road. With outside hitter, Kamden Miller, Fayette has been struggling to find their footing with their new lineup during her recovery.  The first set Carlow came out on fire winning 25-12. During the set, Carlow's star outside hitter Alison Humbertston experienced an injury. Fayette battled strong in the second set, winning 25-21. The third set was a back and forth battle resulting in a win for Carlow 25-22. The forth set was no different, Fayette held their own, but it wasn't enough to beat the Celtics. Fayette dropped the fourth set 25-21, losing the match 3-1. Getting a double double and leading for Fayette was Adela Blough with 17 kills and 17 digs. Pasepa Driso-Buwawa played great defense with 20 digs, along with Abigail Bickerton finishing with 4 blocks. Emma Eckert added 13 digs with an impressive 34 assists. 

Fayette will go back to conference play Saturday on the road at Penn State Greater Allegheny for a 2:00 P.M. start. If Fayette wins the match, they will clinch a home playoff berth. Last time Fayette and Greater Allegheny met, Fayette was able to win 3-1 at home.
