Fayette Ladies Prepare for the Home Stretch

- PREVIEW -

With two games coming up this weekend, the Lady Roaring Lions are fast approaching the home stretch of their season. After steadily maintaining their spot at fourth in the conference for many weeks, Penn State Fayette should finish out the season in the top six contending in playoffs. Currently with a record of 8-4 for the conference, the women have two more conference games this weekend. On Friday, February 12th, the team will be traveling to Penn State Worthington Scranton and Saturday, they're away at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

Penn State Fayette women's basketball is yet to face either team this season. The last time they played Penn State Worthington Scranton was in December of 2014, last season. It was a tight battle last year with Fayette capturing the 73-61 win. This year, however, Worthington Scranton has a predominantly young and less experienced team and currently sit in last going 0-12.

Looking back on the last five seasons, the Lady Roaring Lions have snatched up five close wins against Penn State Wilkes-Barre with the highest lead at the end of one of the games being 12 points. Most of the wins, however, had less than a ten point difference. This year, Wilkes-Barre is one win away from being tied for fourth with Fayette so this win will be a crucial one not only to continue the Fayette women's winning streak each season against them, but also to maintain their spot in the conference.
