Volleyball set to open season in Monaca, Pa
Lemont Furnace, PA – Penn State Fayette Volleyball will be opening their season at Penn State Beaver's USCAA Volleyball Classic this weekend. New Head Coach Samantha Swetz and Assistant Coach Janelle Cooper hope to continue the legacy of Penn State Fayette Volleyball this season. Although both are new coaches to the PSUAC Conference, they are not new to the winning program due to having their own record at Fayette of never dropping a conference match all four years of their college career.
Last year, during their 2016 season, Fayette's volleyball program clenched their eighth conference championship win in the PSUAC Conference, making it eight out of nine years they have made USCAA National Tournament appearances.
Penn State Fayette hopes to continue their dominance with a young team of freshman and sophomore players who are not strangers to a winning program due their high school backgrounds.
Fayette will kick off their weekend when they take on Johnson and Wales on Friday, September 1st at 2:00 P.M.
