Fayette XC brings home another 1st place in a PSUAC match-up

Lemont Furnace, PA – The final PSUAC match-up of the season took place on Saturday, September 30th at Penn State Scranton at 1:00 PM. The Roaring Lions competed in a 5 team invitational. The men's team came home with the victory while completing a shutout with 15 points and the women's team all had personal records.  The course was 5.1 miles for men and 3.72 miles for women.

Leading the way for the men's team was Devin Pisarski, who finished the race in 31:12 and Nyoah Marteny, who finished in 3rd place with a time of 31:18. 4th place honor went to Aaron Mylan (32:27). Michael Elliot finished in 5th place (33:33) and PJ Savini finished in 7th place with a time of 35:45. Austin Bittner stayed back on campus, but ran in the Pechins Fall Festival 5K and was the overall winner of the race! The results from the women's team consisted of Anna Elko, who finished with a time of 32:30, Kirsten Webb, who finished in 7th place, (35:57) and Amber Glodziak, who finished in 12th place in 41:14.

On Saturday, the Roaring Lions will travel to Carnegie Mellon for their invitational. It will be held in Schenley Park in Pittsburgh.  The women's race will begin at 10 am and the men's race will start at 11 AM.  This race will be a lot more challenging for the Roaring Lions as they will run against NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3 teams. It will serve to toughen the Roaring Lions up as they continue their quest to capture the PSUAC title.
