Lemont Furnace, PA- Cross Country had their annual home meet of the season.

Saturday was a great race day at the Fayette Campus starting off with the annual Joe Everhart Invitational that brought over 550 runners from different school districts across Pennsylvania and West Virginia to the Penn State Fayette Campus. The day did not stop there, Fayette continued the cross country event by having a great turn out with over 150 student athletes from all different collegiate associations and divisions.

"I know each week I say, 'I couldn't be prouder of my athletes, and each week they prove me wrong", Coach Shane Bush said. "With all the talented athletes that came to Penn State Fayette and competed this weekend, my athletes were still able to perform better than they expected, setting multiple personal records."

Chloe Kalp was amongst those student athletes, placing 5th in the race and receiving "USCAA Runner of the Week" last week prior to the meet. Other runners that participated from Fayette were Jacob Noel, Ethan Mates, Josh Hunter and Logan Miller.

"I would like to take this time and thank my athletes for all the hard work and dedication they have put into training and competing this year," Coach Shane said with a smile.
